About Carolina Indie Fest
Carolina Indie Fest is FREE two-day multi-stage music festival located in downtown Sanford,NC. There will be two outdoor stages, and one stage inside Hugger Mugger Brewing, which will also act as the hub of the festival.
The main stage will be located on Wicker Street, between S. Steele Street and Horner Blvd. The beer garden stage will be located in the parking lot at the intersection of S Steele Street and Cole Street.
The festival will run from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Saturday, September 18th, 2021, and from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Sunday, September 19th, 2021.
There will be 45 acts performing. They represent country, folk, americana, rock, soul, reggae and more. There is definitely something for everyone!
Food trucks and local arts and crafts vendors will also be there.
Carolina Indie Fest is being produced by Indie On Air, in partnership with Hugger Mugger Brewing and the Sanford Tourism Development Authority.
Indie On Air produces festivals and smaller music event across the USA. This includes Texas Indie Fest, which was named one of the best music festivals in Texas.
Carolina Indie Fest will present 45 diverse performances including several national headliners. Saturday night will feature The Accidentals (MI) and Paleface (NC) on the main stage.
Sunday night will feature The Gasoline Gypsies (MI) and Willow Hill (TN) on the main stage.
But that's not all! There will be so many more acts from NC, DE, VA, WV, TX, CO, NJ, MD, PA, IL, NY, SC, FL and we're even bringing in one from Italy!
1. Do I need tickets? If so, how much do they cost?
This is a free festival. There are no tickets required. Just walk up and start enjoying yourself!
2. When is the festival and what are its operating hours?
The festival runs from 12:00pm to 11:00pm on Sat, Sept 18th 2021 and from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Sun, Sept 19th 2021
3. Exactly where in Sanford, NC is the festival located?
The main stage will be located on Wicker Street between S. Horner Blvd and S. Steele Street at the bottom of the hill.
The beer garden stage will be located in the municipal parking lot that is located at the intersection of S. Steele Street and Cole Street (Access from S. Steele Street or via the outdoor seating area behind Hugger Mugger Brewing).
The Hugger Mugger Indoor Stage is located....well, inside of Hugger Mugger Brewing, which is located at 229 Wicker Street. Hugger Mugger Brewing the hub of the festival.
There will be three busker stages located on S Steele Street.
4. Will there be road closures?
Yes, the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6:00 pm on Fri Sept 17th-5:00 am on Mon Sept 20th
Wicker Street between S Horner Blvd and the railroad tracks (S. Horner Blvd will remain open)
S. Steele Street between West Pearl Street and Carthage Street.
5. Where do I park?
There will be free and paid parking throughout the town of Sanford. Keep checking back for more details as we get closer to September.
6. I want to sell food from my food truck during the festival. Whom do I contact?

8. Can I and/or my band play at the festival?
All of the performance slots for the 2021 festival are full. However, there will be three busker stages (acoustic only please) open to the public on S. Steele Street. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We just ask that you keep it PG-13 and that you share the space with other artists. 9. What is being done to mitigate the risk of Covid-19?
We will be following guidelines set forth by the CDC at the time of the event. Currently, the guideline state that people who are not vaccinated should wear masks when they are among large groups of people, even when outdoors. Please be aware that if you choose to enter Hugger Mugger Brewing (which you definitely should) or any other business that will be open during the festival, you will be required to abide by those business's guidelines.
10. Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! We want this to be a family-friendly event!
11. What if I get hungry or thirsty?
We'vwe got you covered there too! We will have food-truck vendors on site. You can also stop by Hugger Mugger Brewing to wet your whistle with some adult beverages (if you are over 21 of course).
